ABA Workforce Dynamics
The registry lists 3 BCBA credentials and 33 RBT credentials, with no dual BCBA-RBT credentials reported. These credential counts overlap with other taxonomy and credential fields, so they should not be treated as mutually exclusive shares of all Nebraska providers. The roughly 11-to-1 RBT-to-BCBA count indicates a large direct-service workforce relative to the listed supervisory workforce. Because BCBAs design treatment plans and supervise RBTs, this imbalance may signal limited supervision capacity or a workforce still building its senior clinical layer. One provider also lists “PLMHP, MS, LBA,” showing that state licensure can appear alongside behavioral health credentials.
Provider Demographics
Among the reported gender records, 54 providers were female, 11 were male and 6 were nonbinary. The registry’s demographic percentages are 76% female, 15% male and 8% nonbinary; these categories do not total 100% because the gender records do not account for every provider. Omaha and Lincoln are the most prominent cities in the update, followed by Bellevue, Blair and Fremont. No organization appeared repeatedly in the notable-organization field.
Nebraska’s concentrated urban activity and much larger RBT pool than BCBA pool suggest growing ABA service capacity, but also a need to expand supervision resources as the technician workforce develops.
