Job Description

 of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.

Position Highlights
• Join a welcoming & cohesive team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health care teams in diagnosis & treatment of conditions requiring Cardiovascular intervention in both an outpatient and inpatient environment as a member of the Community Physicians group
• Collaborate with cross-department healthcare teams for management of cardiovascular disease
• Serve as liaison with RNs to ensure continuity of core rounds
• Perform a variety of patient visits — new patient referrals, outpatient follow ups, & inpatient consults
• Order, perform, & interpret screening & diagnostic procedures and tests, and appropriately communicate & document information
• Engage and educate patients & families
• Teach & mentor staff

Schedule
• Full time, 1.0 FTE
• Hours are typically Monday–Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, with occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, & on-call based on business needs
• Salaried/Exempt

Qualifications

Preferred Experience
• Previous outpatient, inpatient, adult care, acute care, &/or critical care Cardiology PA, NP, &/or RN experience strongly preferred

Minimum Education
• Advanced Practice Nurse: Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
• Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.

Minimum Requirements

Advanced Practice Nurse
• Wisconsin RN License
• Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
• Certification Requirements:
• Nurse Practitioner Certification from a nationally accredited professional nursing organization
• BLS
• CITI Certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Physician Assistant:
• Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
• Certification Requirements:
• Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• BLS
• CITI Certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
