Job Description
**Overview**
The Behavior Technician (BT) works to facilitate educational and behavioral services for children and adults with special needs. This role involves collaborating with school professionals and other behavioral specialists to help students achieve learning and behavioral goals. **Responsibilities**
- Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the BCBA
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students
- Collect and record accurate data on student performance and behaviors
- Assist with skill acquisition programs (communication, social, academic, daily living)
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all professional standards
• *Qualifications**
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must pass **Paraeducator Test** and have **AA degree or 48 college units**
- Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as required)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred
- Previous experience in a school or ABA setting preferred
