ing for full-time Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our team in the Roanoke and Salem, Virginia area! If you are not yet an RBT, we will provide the training needed to become one. As an RBT you will work directly with clients in the clinic, their homes and the community delivering high quality, intensive, ABA interventions under the supervision of the Behavior Analysts (BCBA) who develop each client’s treatment plan. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Implement individualized behavioral therapy programs with clients utilizing ABA intervention strategies to increase social-communicative behaviors and daily living skills while decreasing interfering behaviors.
Write progress notes, collect data, update, and maintain client data and graphs under the supervision of Clinical Supervisor (BCBA).
Observe client skills and collect information/data as directed by the Clinical Supervisor to be used in assessing client skills and developing client goals.
Create program materials, as needed, and/or directed by the Clinical Supervisor.
Assist in updating client programs only as directed by Clinical Supervisor.
Participate in weekly supervision and team meetings with Clinical Supervisor.
Support, train, and coach parents and/or caregivers in behavior management strategies to increase generalization of client skill sets.
Collaboratively work with clinical team to meet client goals and maintain timely and effective communication with clients, parents/caregivers, and supervisor.
Participate in progress and ISP review meetings with clinical team, inclusive of family.
Participate in progress review meetings with clinical team.
Maintain and submit accurate documentation of billable tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work with ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse populations.
Ability to appropriately interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to take direction and work independently.
Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment.
Must possess good judgement and decision-making skills.
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to client homes and community settings.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, around the needs of the clients.
Comfortable working with children who display interfering behaviors.
Requirements
It is preferred that applicants have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a current registered behavior technician credential and be in good standing or must successfully complete a 40-hour class, competency assessment, and exam to become a registered behavior technician within 6 months of hire.
Must pass a criminal background check upon hire.
