Job Description
We are also seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented medical doctor with expertise in workers' compensation to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to injured federal employees, ensuring compliance with the Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP) guidelines. You will play a crucial role in diagnosing work-related injuries, developing treatment plans, and supporting employees through their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform patient assessments, diagnostic tests, and examinations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Prescribe and administer medication or treatments as needed.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans accordingly.
• Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in accordance with regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and stay updated on medical advancements.
• Assess work-related injuries or illnesses, develop treatment plans, and provide necessary medical care.
• Maintain detailed records of the injury or illness, including medical reports, to support workers' compensation claims.
• Collaborate with the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP) to ensure compliance with federal guidelines and proper claim processing.
• Assist in the recovery process through physical therapy, counseling, or other necessary interventions.
• Evaluate when employees are fit to return to work and recommend accommodations if needed.
• Perform comprehensive evaluations of work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Prepare thorough medical documentation, including diagnostic findings, treatment plans, and progress notes, to support workers' compensation claims.
• Collaborate with claims examiners, employers, and rehabilitation teams to ensure seamless coordination of care.
• Conduct return-to-work evaluations and recommend workplace accommodations when necessary.
• Stay up-to-date with OWCP guidelines, policies, and protocols to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Valid medical license to practice.
• Experience or knowledge in workers' compensation or occupational health is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to patient care and adherence to federal regulations.
