Specific Position Duties
• Supervise and instruct students during clinical rotations.
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with healthcare facilities to ensure a quality learning environment.
• Develop and implement lesson plans and clinical activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Stay updated with the latest practices and technologies in respiratory care.
• Teach in a classroom situation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to mentor and motivate students.
• Proficient in using clinical equipment and technology.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program (Associate or Bachelor's).
• Bachelor's Degree in related discipline IF associate degree is in Respiratory Care.
• Current CRT/RRT credential from the NBRC.
• Current State Professional License for Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Minimum of four (4) years experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care. (RRT) credential. NOTE: 2-years of specific clinical experience i.e., pediatrics will required for specific course/clinical practice.
• Minimum of two (2) years experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program either as appointed faculty member or as a clinical instructor, or preceptor.
