What You Will Do a(Essential Functions)
Clinical Design & Assessment: Assist BCBAs in performing critical developmental assessments (including VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, PEAK, AFLS, and EFL ) and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs). Develop, write, and update individualized, skill-based treatment plans that are evidence-based and effective.
• Service Delivery: Provide and/or supervise the implementation of in-home 1:1 ABA therapy programs for clients diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder across in-home and community settings. Monitor and assist with generalization training to ensure skills are carried over across different people, settings, and social opportunities.
• Data & Quality Assurance: Under the supervision of a BCBA–collect, graph, analyze, display, and interpret data-based progress to make dynamic treatment decisions. Assist with data collection to evaluate key quality assurance metrics, including treatment integrity and interrater reliability (IOA). Maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant documentation for all billable tasks.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Under the supervision of a BCBA–provide ongoing training and performance feedback to Behavior Interventionists/RBTs and families/caregivers. Coordinate and attend pertinent meetings with client families, and the clinical team.
• Compliance: Maintain client records and documentation from intake to discharge, while strictly adhering to the ethical standards established by the BACB and Nexus Therapies' protocols.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
• Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods, and lift/carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to see/read policies and printed matter, and hear/understand English speech at normal levels.
• Resilience to manage moderate to high-stress levels in an environment that fluctuates between clinical, office, and home settings, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
• Hazards: The incumbent may be exposed to contact with individuals displaying physically aggressive, self-abusive, or socially undesirable behaviors.
• A valid driver’s license, ability to meet California’s driving requirements, and willingness to travel between client locations punctually.
• Must successfully pass comprehensive FBI & DOJ background checks.
Position Type / Expected Hours
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday; hours will fluctuate based on workload and client schedule. Occasional weekend work may be required based on client needs.

• Highly Desired Attributes: Current enrollment in an ABA Master’s program. Active BCaBA certification. Bilingual fluency in Spanish is a plus (serves our community's needs).
• Clinical Skills: Strong clinical background with thorough understanding of ABA principles, strategies and procedures (including NET, DTT, PECS, PRT). Experience working with individuals exhibiting problem behaviors (including aggression and self-injury).
