Job Description

Essential Job FunctionsDirect ABA Therapy Delivery
• Provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to clients under BCBA supervision.
• Follow individualized treatment plans, behavior intervention plans, and teaching programs.
• Implement evidence-based teaching strategies, including DTT, NET, and VB methods.

Data Collection & Documentation
• Collect accurate data on client progress during each session using electronic systems.
• Maintain session notes, behavior graphs, and objective documentation required by insurance and compliance.

Client Engagement & Safety
• Maintain a supportive, motivating, and safe environment for clients at all times.
• Assist with communication, adaptive skills, play skills, self-help skills, and social activities.
• Use proactive and reactive strategies to manage challenging behaviors safely and ethically.

Professionalism & Team Collaboration
• Attend team meetings, training, and supervision sessions with BCBAs.
• Communicate professionally with parents, supervisors, and teammates.
• Follow HIPAA, company policies, and ethical guidelines set by the BACB.

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass and maintain a clean background check.
• Ability to complete and pass RBT certification within 60–90 days of hire (if not already certified).
• Ability to lift 20–30 lbs, play on the floor, and be physically active with children.
• Ability to reliably commute to assigned clinic or client home.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have, Not Required)

Use these to attract stronger candidates without disqualifying new talent:
• Active RBT certification through the BACB.
• 1+ year experience working with children or individuals with special needs.
• Coursework in psychology, special education, child development, or related field.
• Experience in ABA therapy, childcare, teaching, or mental health services.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

    • The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis who works directly with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental delays
