Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist supports our Rehab teams. Responsibilities include identification of signs and symptoms that signal appropriateness for SLP examination and also the actual examination, evaluation, planning, organizing and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients. Implement therapy according to established plan, utilizing appropriate procedures, equipment and techniques within the scope of speech-language pathology. Educate the patient and/or the caregiver about the findings of the examination, evaluation, established goals of the speech-language pathology program, plan of treatment, home programs, injury prevention, and other related information. Communicates effectively with other patient care team members and coordinates care provided. Assist in directing SLP Assistants with their caseloads and their documentation. Work in an environment that requires seven-day-a-week coverage.
Qualifications

Education
• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required

Licenses and Certifications
• SLP - State of California Speech Language Pathologist License or eligible for licensure required
• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
