Job Description

nder Idaho Medicaid’s Children’s Habilitation Intervention Services (CHIS) program.

This position serves children with autism and developmental disabilities through skill acquisition programming and behavior reduction services in home, school, and community settings.

Position Responsibilities
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Assist in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
• Deliver evidence-based ABA interventions
• Collect and graph behavioral data
• Teach communication, adaptive, and social skills
• Collaborate with Behavior Intervention Specialists and families
• Maintain Medicaid-compliant documentation

✅ Minimum Qualifications (Idaho Medicaid – Behavior Intervention Professional)

Under Idaho Medicaid CHIS standards (IDAPA 16.03.09), applicants must meet the following:

✔ Education Requirement
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, ABA, or related human services field

OR
• Bachelor’s degree in another field plus documented training specific to behavior intervention

✔ Required Experience Hours
• Minimum 1,040 documented hours of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities

Experience must demonstrate competency in:
• Behavior intervention implementation
• Skill acquisition programming
• Data collection and progress monitoring
• Working with autism or related developmental disabilities

✔ Additional Requirements
• CPR & First Aid certification
• Ability to pass Idaho Department of Health & Welfare Criminal History & Background Check
• Valid drivers license
• Reliable Transportation
• Ability to meet annual CHIS continuing education requirements (12 hours annually, including ethics and behavior methodology)

Preferred Qualifications
• RBT certification
• Experience in Medicaid-funded behavioral services
• Experience supervising Behavior Technicians
