We are looking for a Driver 1 to drive a bus with a high level of skill, following designated routes, schedules, policies, and State Vehicle Code regulations. The primary responsibility of the Bus Driver is to transport employees on established routes or planned trips. This role is distinct from Transporters, who are responsible for transporting supplies and materials on designated routes.
Responsibilities
• Shuttle driver's duties primarily revolve around safely transporting passengers to and from designated locations, adhering to pre-planned routes and schedules, and providing excellent customer service. Driver must have a Class B with Passenger Endorsement.
• Drive a bus along specified routes according to set schedules
• Pick up and drop off employees at designated stops
• Assist handicapped individuals in boarding and exiting the bus, provide necessary escorts
• Conduct daily inspections of the bus for safety, report any mechanical issues
• Maintain cleanliness of bus interior, windows, and mirrors
• Wash the bus as needed
• Keep accurate records of passenger numbers, mileage, departure and arrival times, and other relevant information.
Qualifications
• Basic Qualifications for Driver 1 — Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), being at least 21 years old, having a valid driver's license, no recent DUI's or OWIs. Driver needs a Class B CDL with Air Brakes, "P" Passenger Endorsement.
• Preferred Qualifications for Driver 1 — Experience with executive shuttle service or customer passenger movements.
