Job Description
Clinical Director (BCBA) | Center-Based ABA
Aviation ABA Therapy | South Salt Lake, Utah | Full-Time, On-Site Leadership Role
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
This is not a step sideways. This is the Clinical Director role for a BCBA who has built clinical programs, led teams, and is ready to own the clinical engine of a growing, mission-driven ABA company.
Aviation ABA Therapy opened our South Salt Lake clinic after building a strong in-home program. We are creating something rare in this space: a company that treats clinical excellence, operational discipline, and family experience as one integrated system. We move fast, we run lean, and the people we bring into leadership are expected to think outside the box.
As Clinical Director, you will shape how care is delivered, how staff are trained, and how the clinic scales. You will work directly with the CEO and the clinical leadership team to drive growth, raise the bar on quality, and develop the next generation of clinicians. If you are looking for the next big step in your career, this is it.
ABOUT AVIATION ABA THERAPY
Aviation ABA Therapy is a Utah-based provider offering in-home and clinic-based services across the Wasatch Front. Our South Salt Lake clinic anchors a growing in-clinic program built on something we take seriously: a collaborative, supportive environment where clinicians have the resources, mentorship, and autonomy to do their best work. We believe great clinical care comes from great teams, so we invest heavily in our people, our culture, and the day‑to‑day experience of practicing here.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Clinical Leadership
Lead the BCBA team across the SLC clinic, including hiring, onboarding, supervision, and ongoing development
Carry a focused, manageable caseload so you stay close to the clinical work and lead by example
Set clinical quality standards across assessments, treatment plans, parent training, and session note compliance
Drive outcome measurement, treatment integrity, and continuous improvement of care
Operations and Accountability
Build, document, and enforce clinical processes, procedures, and quality standards
Hold staff accountable through clear expectations, KPIs, regular performance check‑ins, and direct coaching
Partner with the CEO and operations team on staffing models, scheduling logic, authorization management, and clinical productivity
Identify bottlenecks and design systems to remove them before they become problems
Growth and Strategy
Help drive the growth of the clinic through clinical capacity planning, referral engagement, and program expansion
Contribute to new service line development, including specialty programs and Day Treatment
Partner with marketing and intake on conversion, family experience, and clinic reputation
Training and Development
Deliver and oversee staff training across BCBAs, RBTs, and clinic operations staff
Build competency‑based training pathways aligned with Utah DHHS standards and Aviation ABA quality benchmarks
Mentor BCBA candidates and develop the next layer of clinical leadership inside the organization
WHAT YOU BRING
Required
Active BCBA certification in good standing
Minimum 3 to 5 years of post‑certification clinical experience as a BCBA
Demonstrated leadership experience, such as supervising a clinical team or running clinical operations at a clinic, region, or program level
Track record of building processes, holding staff accountable, and driving measurable improvement in clinical or operational outcomes
Comfortable carrying a small clinical caseload alongside Clinical Director responsibilities
Strong working knowledge of insurance‑funded ABA, authorizations, and session note compliance
Eligible to be credentialed with Utah Medicaid and major commercial payers
Preferred
Experience launching or scaling a clinic‑based ABA program
Familiarity with Utah DHHS licensing standards or comparable state regulatory environments
Experience training and developing RBTs and BCBA candidates
Comfort with modern practice management and EMR systems
Who You Are
A warm, grounded leader who people genuinely want to follow
Operates well in a fast‑paced, growing environment where priorities shift
Direct and kind in feedback, comfortable with hard conversations
Bias toward action, ownership, and getting things done
Believes clinical quality and operational discipline are the same conversation
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Base salary: $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and leadership track record
Performance bonus potential tied to clinical quality, operational, and growth outcomes
Long‑term incentive participation available for the right candidate
Health, dental, and vision coverage
Paid time off and holidays
CEU support and professional development budget
Direct line to the CEO and a real seat at the leadership table
