acher by focusing on the management of pre-crisis antecedents, environmental behavioral variables and specific precursors to maladaptive student behaviors. The overall goal is to maintain a stable and therapeutic classroom environment and minimize crisis behaviors.

· Oversees onboarding of new students through pairing, preference assessment and creation of individualized visual supports, etc.

· Fosters, facilitates, and encourages staff data collection for all classroom students via Catalyst data management

· Reviews and oversees implementation of student Crisis Continua on an ongoing basis

· Consults with the team RBT and BCBA to identify ongoing and emerging needs for appropriateness of behavioral interventions

· Trains classroom staff in implementation of student pre-crisis behaviors

· Implements and trains staff behavioral pre-crisis strategies

· Assures additional multi-disciplinary supports are consistently implemented in the classroom

· Facilitates behavior-based group curricula that augments the classroom teacher’s academic lesson planning options (example: lessons on pro-social behaviors)

· Provides training for Discrete Trial Training for all classroom staff

· Oversees classroom implementation, modeling and tracking of Discrete Trial Training including ongoing assessment of required materials and reports outcomes and needs to the supervising BCBA

· Completes task-analyses related to acquisition of functional skills in all areas of student skill development

· Assures tracking of skills acquisition data to meet functional goals in all areas of student skill development

The candidate for Classroom Registered Behavior Technician (c-RBT) would ideally possess the following qualifications and qualities.

· Current possession of an active Registered Behavior Technician certification

· Ability to receive and communicate feedback as part of a behavior team and trainer in the classroom

· Willingness to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) concepts and interventions

· Collaborative with a focus on effective team building

· Communicative in both oral and written forms

· Solution-focused approach to problem-solving is necessary

· Flexible

· Respectful

· Possesses a positive and approachable demeanor

· Understanding and supportive of Rational Detachment and Trauma-Informed Care principles

· Organized and detail-oriented in management of data

· Ability to present group lessons to classroom students``

Work Schedule & Time Off
• School Year: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM (7.5 hours per day)
• Summer Schedule (6 weeks): Monday–Thursday, Fridays off
• Breaks & Holidays:
• Two 2-week summer breaks (late May and late July)
• 1-week spring break
• 1-week Thanksgiving break
• 2-week winter break
• All major holidays off

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

  • A classroom Registered Behavior Technician (cRBT) is a member of the behavior team who works with teachers, classroom staff, administrators, and related services providers and is directly supervised by an assigned Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • The cRBT is specifically assigned to a classroom to closely assist the teacher and substitute teacher by focusing on the management of pre-crisis antecedents, environmental behavioral variables and specific precursors to maladaptive student behaviors
