PediaStaff is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an adult home health opportunity in San Diego, CA. This is a contract position with flexible scheduling and assignment length, ideal for an SLP who values autonomy, meaningful one-on-one patient care, and a collaborative clinical environment.
This opportunity is with an established multi-state home health organization known for its person-centered approach, commitment to high-quality care in the home, and strong interdisciplinary team model supporting adult and senior patients.
Position Overview
The SLP will provide speech therapy services to adult patients in their homes, including evaluation, treatment planning, direct intervention, patient/caregiver education, and coordination with the care team.
Responsibilities
• Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans
• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home setting
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on goals and home programs
• Document visits and progress in a timely manner
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
Qualifications
• Active California SLP license
• Experience with adult patients required
• Home health experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable working independently and managing a flexible schedule
• Current BLS/CPR
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
