cal Research Nurse - Home Visits (PRN) | Job Type: Contract, PRN, Per Diem | Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Key Details You'll use your own vehicle to visit patients in their homes, typically within 1-2 hours of your location.
Shifts are PRN / per diem; work is project-based and varies by availability.
Orientation, training, and project-specific instructions are provided before each assignment.
You will be compensated for all time spent on training, travel, and patient visits, including documentation.
Travel time is compensated; some duties involve driving to patient homes.
As a Clinical Research Nurse - Home Visits (PRN), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of research studies in patient homes. You will administer investigational medications/products, conduct patient assessments, collect vital information, and adhere to study protocols with accuracy and ethics. Your expertise will help maintain compliance with study protocols and safeguard the well-being of study patients.
Responsibilities Deliver competent, high-quality nursing care to study patients in their homes.
Ensure compliance with each study's protocol through thorough review and documentation at each subject visit.
Administer investigational medications/products as needed; perform patient assessments to identify side effects; notify the Principal Investigator of findings/issues.
Perform medical tests per protocol (e.g., vital signs, specimen collection, electrocardiograms); process and ship specimens as required.
Provide patient education and medical information to ensure understanding of proper medication dosage, administration, and disease treatment.
Adhere to clinical research policies to ensure ethical conduct and protect vulnerable populations.
Communicate effectively to promote open and trusting relationships.
Qualifications Relevant nursing licensure
CH-GCP Certificate
Graduate from an accredited BSN, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program
Minimum 2 years' post-qualification acute care experience
Clinical Research experience preferred
BLS certification required
Experience with ICH-GCP and clinical trials; training can be provided
Good basic IT skills, including use of mobile devices and Microsoft systems
Trained in Handling and Transport of Hazardous Substances (training can be provided)
A flexible schedule is essential
Unencumbered driver's license and reliable car

  • Qualifications Relevant nursing licensure
