Qualifications

  • Experience with calipers and micrometers
  • Proficiency in machine operation, specifically Haas machines
  • At least 6 months of machine operating experience
  • Knowledge of CNC, CNC lathe, and CNC mill operations
  • Minimum of 1 year of machining experience with brake press, laser, punch press, turret, or any machine in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience in quality inspection using micrometers and calipers

Responsibilities

  • The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating and adjusting CNC mills and lathes, specifically Haas machines, to perform a variety of machining operations
  • These operations include drilling, reaming, tapping, milling, turning, and boring over various surfaces, diameters, and depths where programs are already proven and setups are completed by others
  • The operator will also inspect products using various gauges such as micrometers, bore gauges, and thread gauges, and manage computer input and output data
  • Operate and adjust CNC mills and lathes to perform standard machining sequences
  • Inspect products using micrometers, bore gauges, and thread gauges
  • Enter and read input and output numbers on a computer system
  • Lift up to 5 pounds of metal in and out of the machine
  • The facility operates three shifts: 1st shift from 6am-4pm (Monday-Thursday), 2nd shift from 4pm-2am (Monday-Thursday), and 3rd shift from 8pm-6am (Sunday to Thursday morning)
  • Employees work every three weeks on Friday and Saturday, with other weekends being voluntary
