Part Time ABA Behavior Technician Position

The Lighthouse Children’s Home is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part Time ABA Behavior Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in empowering and assisting girls aged 13-17 with behavioral challenges through the application of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques. Working under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), the technician will implement personalized behavior intervention plans, contributing profoundly to our residents' abilities to achieve more positive emotional and behavioral development.
Implement ABA therapy sessions as designed by the supervising BCBA
Collect and record data on patient behavior
Communicate regularly with caregivers and related professionals
Adjust intervention strategies based on therapist feedback and patient response
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for therapy
Engage in continuous professional development activities to improve skills related to ABA therapy
Participate in team meetings and provide insights into the patients’ progress
Strong understanding of ABA principles and techniques
Excellent observational and analytical skills
Ability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and professionalism
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work during non-standard hours as needed
Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is preferred and will be required to attain within six months of hire if not already certified.
