Job Description

Our care addresses issues from anxiety and depression to severe mental illnesses and end-of-life concerns. As part of a multidisciplinary team, our clinicians significantly impact residents' quality of life by solving problems, delivering clinical care, and providing a vital link in care for this vulnerable population.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services by consulting with a licensed clinician to meet individual needs.
• Develop service plans for supports or care coordination, including healthcare and behavioral health treatment plans.
• Implement linkage, interventions, treatment options, skills restoration, and crisis prevention services.
• Deliver services to individual or group clients.
• Train support staff on client triggers, de-escalation, and interventions per treatment plans.
• Foster positive relationships with outside contacts.
• Meet with Resident Care Coordinators or staff to review resident needs and communicate findings.
• Maintain open communication with facility staff and adhere to organizational policies, legal, and ethical standards, including HIPAA compliance.
• Conduct yourself professionally at all times.

Qualifications/Education:

Master’s degree in counseling or marriage and family therapy, with eligibility for licensure in the practicing state. Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists are preferred.

Knowledge:
• Population-specific intervention strategies following treatment plans.
• Regulations governing behavioral health practice.
• Organizational policies and procedures.

Skills Required:
• Data gathering and analysis of physiological, socioeconomic, behavioral, and emotional information.
• Training in social/emotional well-being, stress, and anger management, and life skills.
• Effective evaluation, advice, intervention, and referral skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High initiative, judgment, and discretion.
• Effective relationship-building abilities.

Abilities:
• React calmly in emergencies.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Evaluate and recommend quality improvements.
• Handle sensitive information confidentially.
