Job Description

/caretakers
• Work with BCBA to implement individualized social, communication, and behavior replacement goals.
• Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients.
• Maintain and protect the well-being and dignity of all clients.
• Maintain technical and professional knowledge with continuing education.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High School diploma
• The ideal candidate will hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, special education, early childhood education, or a related field, or be a current undergraduate or graduate student in behavior analysis, psychology, or education.
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Outstanding interpersonal and social skills
• Excellent observational and analytical skills
• Candidates must be patient, flexible, energetic, self-motivated, creative, and must work well in a team environment.
• Experience working with children.
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or ability to obtain certifications within 45 days of hire.
• Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• CPR and First Aid certified (preferred, not required).
• Pass a criminal background check.

Special Considerations:
• Candidates who have prior experience working with children with special needs
• Candidates who are bilingual or ASL-proficient

Pay Rate: varies depending on experience and education

Schedule: 32-40 hours / week, Mon - Friday, no evenings

Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive one-on-one therapy to children ages 1 - 6 with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related childhood disorders in a clinic setting
  • Implement communication and behavior acquisition treatment as outlined by a treatment plan
  • Collect data
  • Discuss client's daily progress with parents/caretakers
  • Work with BCBA to implement individualized social, communication, and behavior replacement goals
  • Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients
  • Maintain and protect the well-being and dignity of all clients
  • Maintain technical and professional knowledge with continuing education
