- •Education and/or Experience: Any combination of education and experience which clearly demonstrates the skills and abilities necessary to accomplish the essential functions of the job

- •FERPA certification or certification completion within 30 days of the job start date
- •Title IX certification or certification completion within 30 days of the job start date
- •Behavior Based Safety (BBS) certification or certification completion within 30 days of the job start date
- •Workplace Harassment Prevention certification or certification completion within 30 days of the job start date
- •Remote work for employees based outside the State of Alaska may be approved only in exceptional circumstances or when required by the position's job duties

Responsibilities
- •We’re looking for a dedicated individual to join our team, where you’ll be under supervision to assist with a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and light construction tasks across several trades, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, landscaping, agricultural installation, and equipment maintenance
- •Your responsibilities will include keeping buildings and grounds clean and orderly, performing trash removal, raking, mowing, spraying, and clearing hazards such as snow, ice, and debris
- •You’ll also assist with repairing fences, gates, landscapes, walls, walks, and signs, and provide support for minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
- •Additionally, you will help with drywall repairs, texture work, painting, troubleshooting doors, locks, appliances, and maintaining furniture and windows
- •You’ll use work orders, including computerized systems, to manage inventories, issue materials, and perform periodic checks
- •Other duties will include floor maintenance, trash removal, and maintaining cleanliness of buildings

- •Each university within the University of Alaska system publishes an Annual Security and Fire Safety Report which contains information regarding campus safety and security including topics such as: campus law enforcement authority; crime reporting policies; campus alerts (Timely Warnings and Emergency Notifications); fire safety policies and procedures; programs to prevent dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking; the procedures the University will follow when one of these crimes is reported; and other matters of importance related to security on campus
