Job Description
rpersonal communication and strong attention to detail to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance. The Psychometric Rater role is critical in generating reliable and accurate data to support the development of new treatments for neurodegenerative disorders and will work closely with researchers and clinicians to ensure the accuracy and reliability of psychometric evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer structured and semi-structured clinical interviews, cognitive assessments, and symptom rating scales including but not limited to MMSE, RAVLT, ADAS-Cog, NPI, RBANS, MoCA, CDR and FAQ (Functional Activities Questionaire)
• Ensure consistent administration and accurately score assessments, collecting data in compliance with protocol and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
• Maintain rater certification and inter-rater reliability for assigned scales
• Collaborate with study team including study coordinators and Investigators to interpret results and provide insights on cognitive health.
• Prepare for and participate in site monitoring visits and sponsor audits as needed.
• Monitor subjects for safety and symptom changes, promptly reporting adverse events.
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards and protocols during the evaluation process.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments and data analyses for reporting purposes
• Attend rater trainings and periodic retraining as required by the sponsor of CRO
• Participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest psychometric techniques and research advancements.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Nursing, Social Work or a related field
• Prior experience administering standardized psychiatric or neuropsychological assessments in a clinical or research setting is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in data interpretation.
• Familiarity with psychometric principles and clinical trials is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects effectively.
Preferred:
• Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling or a related clinical field.
• Previous experience with Alzheimer's Disease, mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or working in a memory care setting.
• Certification or formal training on Alzheimer's specific assessments (e.g. ADAS-Cog certification)
• Working knowledge of FDA, ICH-GCP and HIPPA compliance standards
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
• Clinical and Office based environment, including patient interaction.
• Requires extended periods of sitting and computer use.
• Some flexibility in scheduling to accommodate patient and caregiver availability.
