Qualifications

• •Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
• •Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
• •Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine required
• •Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
• •Ability to pass credentialing and background check

Responsibilities

• •This role involves providing clinical direction, direct patient care, and clinical supervision for medical staff, under the guidance of the Statewide Medical Director
• •The Medical Director will collaborate with the Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services
• •Clinically interesting, diverse patient population in a secure and structured setting
• •Provide the clinical direction needed to meet service delivery requirements
• •Provide direct clinical services for patients
• •Provide clinical supervision for medical staff at the assigned site under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director
• •Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided
• •Participate in various committees to include Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested
