Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full Time ABA Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement personalized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role involves direct interaction with clients, assisting them in daily living activities (ADLs), and fostering their growth through behavioral therapy techniques.
Duties
• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans for clients, focusing on behavior management and skill acquisition.
• Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
• Collect and analyze data on client progress to ensure effective treatment adjustments.
• Work collaboratively with families and caregivers to provide support and education regarding behavioral health strategies.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans and progress notes, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize medical terminology and manage medical records effectively to support client care.
• Provide teaching and guidance in social skills, communication, and other developmental areas.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education and behavioral therapy.
Qualifications
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities.
• Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
• Familiarity with behavioral health practices, behavior management strategies, and patient care protocols.
• Active RBT Certification
• Ability to assist clients with ADLs while promoting dignity and respect.
• Knowledge of medical documentation standards, including care plans and HIPAA compliance.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Background in special education or related fields is preferred but not required.
