Job Overview
Weekend availability a plus* MUST HAVE EXPIRIENCE IN WORKING WITH AUTISTIC PATIENTS
Work location SARASOTA
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to our clients in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Eensure proper medication management
• Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness in the client's living environment, including laundry and light housekeeping tasks
• Support clients with memory care, Alzheimer’s care, and dementia care strategies
• Document patient care activities accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide hospice care as needed, ensuring comfort during end-of-life stages
Requirements
• Previous experience in home health, caregiving, or assisted living settings is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical documentation is a plus
• Hands-on CPR certification is required; additional certifications in catheter care or vital sign monitoring are advantageous
• Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate record keeping
• Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require long-term care support
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families
• Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations
