Position Overview
Why This Role Matters
Clinical research at CTNC puts you in the middle of where neurology is moving next. As a Nurse Practitioner working in research, you step into a space that blends hands-on patient care with the kind of influence most clinicians don't get in traditional practice.
You will collaborate directly with board-certified neurologists, scientists, and seasoned research professionals, giving you exposure to the newest therapies and approaches before they reach broader practice.
This kind of work often positions NPs as thought partners in the development of evidence-based care, and many clinicians who move into research find their professional visibility growing through publications, presentations, and leadership opportunities.
The work itself stays meaningful and patient-centered. You will help shape protocols that can improve outcomes for future patients while supporting the individuals sitting in front of you today. The environment is dynamic and intellectually stimulating, with new studies, new methodologies, and continuous learning baked into the role.
For an NP who wants to deepen clinical expertise, expand professional impact, and be part of a team driving real advancement in neurological care, this is a strong next step. We will train the right clinician who aligns with our values.
Education & Experience
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner
• Active license to practice as an FNP in the State of Texas is preferred
• Minimum 2 years' clinical experience in neurology, internal medicine, family medicine, or a related field.
• Prior clinical research experience is ideal but not required. We will train a motivated clinician with strong assessment skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort with protocol-driven environments and structured workflows.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform focused physical and neurologic exams required for each study.
