• Children's Hospital Colorado Springs is a tertiary, community-based hospital serving Southern Colorado since its opening in 2019.
• A 115-bed Level II Trauma Center, providing comprehensive pediatric care.
• Includes a 49-bed Med/Surgical Unit, a 16-bed PICU, and a 50-bed NICU.
• The role is located onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Responsibilities
• Provide physician leadership for inpatient pediatric care delivery at CHCO-COS.
• Develop, implement, and monitor clinical standards of care.
• Partner with nursing and operational leaders to optimize staffing, throughput, and care models; ensure effective call schedules and clinical coverage.
• Lead and support multidisciplinary quality improvement initiatives.
• Communicate policies, expectations, and operational updates to providers.
• Support provider orientation, education, performance evaluation, and engagement.
• Champion timely, high-quality clinical documentation.
• Development and review of site-specific performance metrics.
Compensation
• Assistant Professor: $189,500 - $199,200
• Associate Professor: $218,000 - $228,000
• Professor: $256,000 - $269,700

Requirements
• MD or DO.
• Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
• Clinically active Pediatric Hospital Medicine provider.
• Minimum of four (4) years of progressive accomplishments in clinical leadership (Assistant Professor).
• Proven administrative experience in the field of Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
• Must successfully pass a drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado.
• Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal background check.
• Sustained clinical experience in pediatric hospital medicine for at least seven (7) years (Preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership and accomplishments in complex organizational environments (Preferred).
• Documented vision and success in building clinical programs (Preferred).
