Position: Registered Behavioral Therapist (RBT) Bowie MD
BT/RBT Position Overview
Skillful Steps ABA provides in‑home ABA therapy to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our team of Behavior Therapists (BTs) and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) collaborates closely with each child and family to deliver high‑quality ABA services.
Responsibilities
• Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA
• Provide one‑on‑one behavior therapy sessions to individuals with ASD
• Collect and record data on client progress using electronic data collection software
• Work with the supervising BCBA to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs
• Maintain ongoing communication with parents to review and monitor the client’s progress
• Develop and create teaching materials and visuals
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Requirements
• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old
• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Background check clearance required upon hiring
• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral challenges; ASD experience preferred
• Reliability:
Ability to keep to a weekly schedule
• Access to transportation, whether it be a reliable vehicle or public transit
