Qualifications

  • Valid RN license with current licensure in the applicable state or region
  • Proven experience in critical care, acute care, home health, hospice care, or assisted living environments
  • Demonstrated management or nurse management experience with supervising teams of nurses or healthcare professionals
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and the fundamentals of nursing practice
  • Experience working with EMR systems for documentation review, patient monitoring, and medical records management
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and security of protected health information (PHI)

  • Supervise nursing staff and case managers involved in oncology care delivery, providing guidance on clinical protocols and documentation standards
  • Monitor patient progress through EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, reviewing medical records and ensuring accurate documentation review
  • Oversee patient monitoring activities, including assessment of treatment responses and management of side effects in accordance with physiology knowledge
  • Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and staffing schedules to optimize efficiency during shift management
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information at all times
  • Facilitate training sessions on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and hospice or home health procedures for team members
  • Conduct regular reviews of care plans and documentation to uphold quality standards and support case management efforts
  • Lead efforts in Medicare billing processes related to oncology services while ensuring adherence to healthcare policies
