Behavioral Support/RBT Job Description

Lincoln Academy Student Support Team

Overview:

Lincoln Academy is looking for an RBT/Behavior Support Person to work with both elementary and junior high students. This individual will be working under the direction of the school BCBA, and will report to that person.

Specific Duties Include:
• Establishes & maintains therapeutic relationship by pairing self as a reinforcing entity and building the value for the students of social interaction with the BCBA
• Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills
• Follows behavior plans and tiered support systems to implement behavior support to students
• Increases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations)
• Accurately collects behavior data
• Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment
• Collaborates with teachers and staff to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the classroom/ school environment or other individuals in the environment
• Work as a team member, including taking direction from administration staff
• Have clear communication with the supervisor and with all other team members.
• Submission of all paperwork in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all shared verbal and written information gathered according to agency policy.
• Demonstrates compliance with state-mandated training requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned/required.
