Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior intervention plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role requires a commitment to patient care and the ability to collect and document data accurately while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Collect and record data on patient behaviors and progress towards goals.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Provide direct patient care, supporting individuals in daily activities and promoting skill development.
• Collaborate with team members to assess behavioral health needs and adjust interventions as necessary.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare professionals.
• Assist in training and educating families on behavioral strategies and techniques.
Requirements
• Registered Behavior Technician certification through BACB
• Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Ability to manage medical records and documentation accurately.
• Strong data collection skills for tracking patient progress.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Proficiency in medical terminology is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
