Job Description

• Monitor the progress of clients and work closely with the BCBA to update treatment plans as necessary
• The ABA technician/RBT position is a part-time, hourly position, working in a client's home, in the community or school setting
• After-school, weekend, in-home, and daytime hours are available
• School hours are also available

Requirements:
• Valid RBT certification (Hawaii Behavioral Health offers a paid certification program)
• High School Diploma minimum, Associate's or Bachelor's degrees preferred
• Experience working with individuals with autism, other intellectual or developmental disabilities, and/or severe problem behavior preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred but not required
• Ability to drive to a variety of locations on the island
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, run repeatedly, and for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Associate Degree (or 48 college credits) required.

ABOUT HAWAII BEHAVIORAL HEALTH:

Hawaii Behavioral Health was founded in 1993 to serve Hawaii's youth and families through behavioral, educational, and social health services. Our service has expanded over the years to include paraprofessional support, behavioral health intervention, early intervention programs, psychological assessments, individual and family therapy, intensive home-based services, therapeutic foster care, and parent training.

Responsibilities

  • Job Type: Part-time/Full-time (up to 35 hours per week)
  • Implementation of treatment plans developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) addressing communication, behavior, feeding, and social skill needs
  • Monitor the progress of clients and work closely with the BCBA to update treatment plans as necessary
