Position Title: Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology

Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time
Description:
The Department of Psychology at Hofstra University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning September 1, 2026.
We welcome applications from candidates who are strongly committed to excellence in teaching and have demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the graduate level. The candidate must be able to teach introductory and advanced courses in statistics. This position requires clinical supervision of doctoral students in our on-site training clinic and thus NY State Licensure is required.
In addition, we are seeking individuals with clinical and research interests in Clinical Psychology including but not limited to psychopathology, psychotherapy, and assessment. We are particularly interested in individuals whose clinical and research interests will complement existing faculty expertise and deepen course offerings within the Psychology Department.
The primary responsibility of this position will be participating as a core faculty member in our APA -accredited PhD program in Clinical Psychology. In addition to the responsibilities noted above, the candidate will eventually participate in
