Job Description
SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide services in an educational setting in Shakopee, MN. This role supports a K-8th grade caseload across two sites, offering a unique opportunity to work in diverse environments and impact student communication development.
Location: Shakopee, MN
Duration: Current School Year (CSY)
Contract: Yes
Schedule: 30-32 hours per week, 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday or Monday through Friday, based on preference)
Start Date: ASAP June 6, 2025
Summer Hours: Not required
Renewal: Possibility to extend contract for the 2025-2026 school year
Responsibilities:
• Deliver speech therapy services to K-8 students across two school sites, addressing a variety of speech and language needs
• Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
• Utilize teletherapy methods as appropriate to meet student needs
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student success
Qualifications:
• Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), with CCC preferred, or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification
• Experience in school-based speech therapy with pediatric caseloads (K-8)
• Ability to work effectively between multiple sites
• Comfort with teletherapy and healthcare-related speech services a plus
• Flexible scheduling mindset and strong organizational skills
