Responsibilities
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBA.
• Provide direct support to children with developmental disabilities in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
• Collect and document data on client progress and behavior changes accurately and consistently.
• Educate clients and families on behavioral strategies to promote skill development and independence.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of client information.
• Assist in the development of care plans and contribute to medical documentation as needed.
• Collaborate with other professionals involved in the client’s care to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with behavioral health concepts and behavioral therapy techniques.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to maintain accurate medical records.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
• Ability to educate clients and families on behavioral strategies effectively.
• A compassionate approach towards working with individuals facing challenges related to their behavior.
• Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring.
