What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):
The Behavior therapist is an essential role in the Shoreline Center’s delivery of ABA therapy to clients. The Behavior therapist provides direct 1:1 ABA therapy under the supervision and guidance of the BCBA/BCaBA. Behavior therapists utilize a wide range of skills and techniques within the evidence-based treatment protocols of ABA therapy.
• Provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to assigned clients.
• Implement treatment plans, skill acquisition programs, and behavior support plans under the supervision of a BCBA or BCaBA.
• Collect data during sessions and complete required data entry tasks.
• Complete progress notes for each therapy session according to documentation standards.
• Participate in monthly one-on-one supervision meetings with clinical supervisors.
• Attend required trainings, as scheduled.

The Shoreline Center, LLC was founded by a family with an autistic child for families with autistic children; “The vision for The Shoreline Center came from years of searching to find adequate services for our child with Autism Spectrum Disorder.” The Shoreline Center is now BCBA-owned! Our Behavior therapists and RBTs work in a rewarding environment helping children with Autism Spectrum Disorder reach their fullest potential. Training & Professional Development:
• Paid, in-house certification trainings, including CPR and Mandt (de-escalation and safety training).
• Support in obtaining the Registered Behavior therapist (RBT) credential. Behavior therapists are expected to become RBT-certified within six months of employment, and our supervisory team provides guidance and supervision throughout the process.
• Opportunities for professional advancement, including free supervision hours for employees enrolled in accredited programs pursuing BCaBA or BCBA certification.
Schedule & Work Environment:
• Collaborative therapy environment with occupational and speech therapists
• Flexible scheduling options based on staff availability and client needs
• Company-provided tablet for data collection and documentation
• Scheduling Note: We primarily serve young children who begin sessions as early as 8:00 AM and school-aged clients who receive services between 3:00 PM–8:00 PM during the fall and winter months. To support consistent scheduling and maximize available hours, therapists are encouraged to provide availability that aligns with client needs, which may include morning and/or evening availability (e.g., three mornings and/or three evenings per week).
Ideal Candidate Traits:
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent and be 18 yrs or older.
• Ability to pass a background check upon hire
• Must have reliable transportation
• Role includes travel within Muskegon and Ottawa County for in-home services

Pay: $19.00 per hour
