Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Communication – strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Associate degree required
  • At least 1 (one) year of training experience in a healthcare environment or equivalent combination of training and working experience

Responsibilities

  • Confers with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies
  • Formulates training objectives, outlines, and determines instructional methods such as classroom in-person instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, E-Learning, group instruction, one-to-one, conferences, meetings, and/or workshops
  • Present information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos
  • Selects training aids such as handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works
  • Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc
  • Evaluate trainees to measure progress and to assess the effectiveness of training
  • Identifies performance gaps or improper system usage and reports on the progress of employees under guidance during training periods
  • Assists employees with "how to" perform specific tasks related to their positions
  • Organizes classrooms for trainings and makes sure the material is sufficient and organized
  • Makes suggestions on improving work procedures
  • Maintains trainee personnel records
  • Develops strong relationships with internal customers to develop course materials and receive feedback
  • Demonstrates courtesy and politeness to patients, visitors and other employees
