Job Description
(BCBA) using evidence-based strategies such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and natural environment teaching.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, are reliable, and are interested in building a career in the behavioral health or special education field.
Hours are from 4pm-6:30pm Monday-Friday. With the possibility of picking up more hours if interested. Cases are located in Naugatuck, Cheshire, Wallingford, and Meriden
Responsibilities
• Provide one-to-one ABA therapy to children in their homes
• Implement treatment programs developed by the supervising BCBA
• Conduct Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and other ABA teaching strategies
• Collect and record data on client progress during therapy sessions
• Follow behavior intervention plans and support skill acquisition programs
• Communicate regularly with the BCBA regarding client progress or concerns
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
• Coordinate scheduling with families for make-up sessions or necessary schedule changes
• Participate in training and supervision as required
Qualifications
• Associates degree or High school diploma but must be willing to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 6 months of hire
• Experience working with children preferred but not required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes
• Ability to follow structured treatment plans and collect accurate data
