Job Description

p you get there!).

However way you found us, we’re glad you did. We are hiring Registered Behavior Technicians to work at our locally owned clinic located in Mililani, HI. Not certified (yet) or have any experience? Not a problem! We will train you in person and guide you along the way to your certification with reliable support.
About Us

We believe investing in employees creates a healthy work culture and is the foundation of a strong organization. At Malama Pono Autism Center we are looking for people committed to making a difference in the lives of children and their families. Some join our team with many years of clinical experience and expertise, others come to us with little professional direction but know they want to be part of something special.

Malama Pono Autism Center is growing and looking to hire individuals interested in learning how to make a difference in the lives of children with autism. Successful candidates will have high energy, enjoy working with children and work well with a team.
A Day-in-the-Life as an RBT

Start of your day:

You will arrive to work and review your client’s plan for the day (like checking a map before going on a road trip). You’ll gather any toys and learning tools to use during your session.

During session:

You’ll spend your time working 1:1 with your client, helping them with whatever their goals are (this might be communication, social skills, daily tasks, play, or behavior support). Sometimes this feels like teaching or coaching, using play and fun to help them learn new skills. You’ll be tracking your clients progress on a tablet (provided by us).

Teamwork & Support:

Even though you work 1:1 with your client, you are never working alone. Your supervisor (BCBA) will design your daily plan with your client and make changes as your client progresses. We also have supervisors on the floor at all times to provide support to our team.

End of the Day:

When sessions are done, you finish up your session notes and clean up your client’s assigned room area. You may also use this time to prep for tomorrow’s session.

And that is a full day as an RBT!
