Job Description
Elementary and Severe and Profound needs programs at May River High School, both situated in Hilton Head Island and nearby areas. The role involves working a 37.5-hour week in schools committed to fostering inclusive and supportive learning communities for students requiring specialized instructional strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to K-12 students with special needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and support staff to optimize student progress.
• Adapt curriculum and instruction methods to address students’ unique learning profiles.
• Monitor, assess, and document student growth in alignment with educational standards.
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
• Certification or licensure appropriate for Special Education teaching in K-12 settings.
• Experience working with a range of disabilities, including severe and profound needs.
