No experience is necessary. As a new employee, you are provided with a paid 7-day Orientation and will receive training on CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, and Medication Administration Program (MAP). You will also receive program-specific training at your work site.
Full-time and Part-time positions available in our residential homes in:
• Haverhill, MA: These positions are primarily either second shift, overnights, and/or weekends at one of our group residence homes.
Responsibilities include:
• Providing hands-on care and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities with daily living skills, personal care, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in making independent decisions and participating in valued community roles.
• Performing light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, including cleaning common areas and ensuring personal spaces are tidy.
• Help to implement clinical, educational and vocational programs.
• Observe and record data for programs established in their Individual and Behavior support plans.
• Participate with other team members to create a therapeutic environment that includes participating and supporting individuals at community events.
• Administer medications or support individuals in self-medication (if you have MAP certification).
Qualifications:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent REQUIRED
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record
• Experience with behavior management preferred (but not necessary)
• Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and remain alert during shifts.

The NEEDS Center’s philosophy is rooted in the tenets of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Positive Behavior Support (PSB). The services and supports provided by the NEEDS Center draw on the best of both disciplines in order to assist individuals to become as independent as they can be.
