Job Description

Behavior Technician

Location: Jefferson Elementary

The applicants need to be able to relate to students in a positive and supportive manner and to also reinforce the individual goals of the student. Must be able to collect and document data on student progress on a variety of goals and to communicate that progress to staff. The applicant needs to be flexible as assignments and students will change sometimes on a daily basis. Must be able to work in an environment without daily, direct supervision. The applicant needs to be willing to ask for help or direction when needed and must be willing to participate in training provided. Educational experience is preferred but not required.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a minimum of 32 semester credits that will lead to a Bachelors Degree OR must pass the state of Idaho approved Parapro Assessment test.

Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees Retirement are available to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a.50 FTE or greater contract.
