Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities in-homes, in daycare, in schools, in community settings, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Your primary focus will be to provide support and education to clients, helping them achieve their behavioral goals and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
• Educate clients and their families about behavioral therapy techniques and strategies.
• Provide patient care by assisting clients in daily activities and promoting independence.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records related to client progress and interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and update care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Monitor and report changes in client behavior, ensuring timely communication with the supervising BCBA.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively while documenting client interactions and progress.
• Engage with clients in a positive manner, fostering a supportive environment conducive to learning and growth.
Experience
• Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with behavioral health practices and principles is highly valued.
• Understanding of medical records management and documentation standards is beneficial.
• Experience in patient care settings is a plus, demonstrating the ability to provide compassionate support.
• Knowledge of care plans and the ability to contribute effectively to their development is essential.
