This is not a routine leadership role — it is a mission. You will lead a team of dedicated Child Well-Being Specialists, providing expert clinical direction and ensuring the highest standards of compassionate, child-centered care in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
Your Mission
As the Lead Behavioral Health Specialist, you will combine hands-on clinical expertise with strategic leadership to protect and uplift children experiencing trauma. You’ll act as the connective tissue between your team, federal partners, and community agencies, ensuring every child receives the care and attention they deserve.
What You'll Do
• Lead and Mentor: Supervise and empower Child Well-Being Specialists across all shifts, fostering clinical excellence and professional growth.
• Be the Key Liaison: Serve as the central point of contact for CBP, DHS leadership, and partner organizations to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
• Resolve Complex Cases: Manage high-needs cases with urgency, empathy, and sound clinical judgment.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee staffing, coordinate surge coverage, and improve behavioral health protocols and best practices.
• Champion Interagency Coordination: Build trusted partnerships across local, state, and federal systems to deliver consistent, trauma-informed care.
Schedule & Shift Details
• Full-time, on-site leadership position.
• 8 hours on-site daily, plus 4 hours on-call as needed.
• Rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to respond on-site during on-call hours for critical needs.
Qualifications
We are seeking a confident, compassionate leader ready to serve in a high-impact behavioral health role.
Required:
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health discipline.
• Active, unrestricted license:
• LCSW / LICSW
• LMFT
• LPC
• LP (Licensed Psychologist)
• Minimum 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience with emphasis on:
• Child development and welfare
• Trauma-informed care and interventions
• Clinical evaluations and case management
• At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or social services.
• Strong decision-making, communication, and crisis leadership skills.
Preferred:
• Bilingual in Spanish/English (ILR 3/5 proficiency or higher).
• Prior experience working in interagency or federal care settings.
