Qualifications

- •Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of cannabis products, sales processes, inventory management, and administrative procedures
- •Familiarity with all three departments—Sales, Inventory, and Administration—is essential
- •Must have cash handling experience
- •Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- •Flexibility: Willingness to cross-train and adapt to various tasks as business needs evolve
- •Compliance: Strict adherence to all state and federal regulations regarding cannabis sales and handling
- •Ability to stand for extended periods
- •Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- •Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working in a retail environment
- •Fast-Paced: Must be able to thrive in a dynamic and often fast-paced retail setting

Responsibilities
- •Department: Multi-Departmental (Sales, Inventory, and Administration)
- •Reports To: General Manager
- •Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
- •Availability: Open availability required, including weekends and holidays
- •The Cannabis Specialist is a multi-faceted role designed to support the seamless operation of the cannabis retail environment by providing expertise in Sales, Inventory, and Administrative functions
- •The Cannabis Specialist will interact with guests, maintain product inventory, assist with administrative tasks, and ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience
- •Guest Interaction & Sales Support:
- •Check-in Guests/ID Verification: Welcome guests, verify their identification, and ensure compliance with state regulations before entry
- •Greet Guests: Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all customers, offering assistance and answering questions about products
- •Assign Guests: Direct guests to appropriate staff or sections based on their needs and interests
- •Educate Guests: Inform guests about daily and weekly promotions, product details, and industry trends to enhance their purchasing experience
- •Ring Guests Out: Complete sales transactions efficiently, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all applicable laws and company policies
- •Apply Promo Buttons: Ensure promotional discounts are applied correctly during checkout
- •Follow-up on Product Call-Back List: Reach out to customers regarding product recalls or updates, ensuring they are informed and satisfied
- •Help Sales Floor: Assist on the sales floor during peak times or as needed, providing support to ensure optimal customer service
- •Merchandising & Floor Maintenance: Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and properly merchandised
- •Restock shelves during business hours
- •Inventory Management:
- •Restock Transfers (Safe to Live): Transfer inventory from the safe to the sales floor as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with inventory protocols
- •Heat Checks: Verify that all products are on display according to the provided inventory list, ensuring accurate and up-to-date offerings
- •Change Product Percentages: Adjust product pricing or percentages when new batches are introduced to the sales floor
- •Accept Incoming Orders: Receive and verify incoming shipments, ensuring they are accurately logged and stored
- •Organize Safe: Maintain a well-organized and secure safe, ensuring all inventory is accounted for and easily accessible
- •Daily Inventory Distribution Report (IDR) Check: Conduct daily checks for inventory discrepancies, addressing any issues promptly to maintain inventory integrity
- •Restock List Management: Maintain a list of items that need restocking, ensuring the sales floor remains fully stocked and appealing to customers
- •Attend Trainings/Meetings: Participate in regular training and meetings to stay informed about company policies, product updates, and industry trends
- •Assist Admin: Provide support to administrative staff as needed, which may include data entry, record-keeping, or other clerical tasks
- •Work with Shift Specialist & Captains: Work with Shift Captains and Shift Specialists to ensure all tasks are completed and assist where needed
- •Return Ecom orders past deadline: Create and manage a list of orders that need to be returned after 48 hours, communicating this to Guest Experience (GE) staff
- •Customer-Focused: A strong emphasis on providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a welcoming environment
