We’re seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in a nonpublic, multi-disabilities school in New Jersey. This is a maternity leave position running from now through April, with a warm, collaborative team and a highly supportive environment.
About the School
• Serves Pre-K through 12th grade, as well as 18–21-year-old transition students
• Nonpublic school accepting out-of-district (OOD) placements
• Population includes students with multiple disabilities and intellectual impairments
• Approximately 75% of students are non-verbal
• About one-third are deaf or hard of hearing (HOH)
• Classrooms are highly structured, with a focus on functional communication and life skills
• Typical caseload: 6–8 students per day
• 30-minute lunch break provided
• SLP may co-treat with physical and occupational therapists (PT/OT)
• Join a team of 8 experienced SLPs providing collaborative support

What You’ll Do
• Provide individual and group speech-language therapy to students with diverse communication needs
• Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and progress monitoring
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and data-driven goals
• Utilize and support AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices to facilitate communication
• Collaborate and co-treat with PT, OT, teachers, and other specialists
• Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with families and staff

What We’re Looking For
• Required: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Required: New Jersey Speech-Language Specialist Certification and NJ Licensure
• Preferred: Experience working in school settings or with multi-disabilities populations
• Preferred: Proficiency with AAC devices and strategies for non-verbal students
