Job Description

97-bed institution is one of the largest
health care providers in the state, treating more than 32,000 inpatients and
82,000 Emergency Department patients each year. Cooperman Barnabas Medical
Center and the Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center provide treatment and
services for more than 370,000 outpatient visits annually.
• *Qualifications:**

_Required:_
• Graduate from an accredited school or university
• Master s degree in Education, Nursing, andor Health Related Field post-masters certificate in education
• Five (5) years in acute care clinical services
• Two (2) years in professional developmenteducation
• Two (2) years in EBP and Research
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

_Preferred:_
• ED, Maternal-Child, andor telemetry experience
• Specialty Board Certification
• Proof of publication
• *Certifications and Licenses Required:**
• Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• *Scheduling Requirements:**
• Full-Time
• Evening shift
• 37.5 hrs. weekly
• *Essential Functions:**
Responsible for participating in the planning, development, implementation and
evaluation of education and training for hospital associates. Educates and
mentors nursing staff on quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
Facilitates professional role development and practices role transitions,
including the RN Residency Program. Develops and implements initial and
ongoing competencies alongside department leadership. Demonstrates effective
teaching skills through appropriate instruction methodologies; communicates
principles of adult education and applies adult learning theory when
conducting programs. Provides for orientation, in-service training, and
continuing education. Organizes multiple assignments andor projects
simultaneously to accomplish goals. Visible and accessible to clinical staff.
Additional duties and responsibilities as delegated within NPD Scope and
Standards of Practice. The role requires flexibility, adaptability, and
independent prioritization of responsibilities.
