Job Description
experienced in working with children with developmental needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Your primary goal will be to assist the child in achieving his daily goals through engaging activities, behavioral interventions, and attentive care.
Responsibilities
• Implement behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to promote positive behaviors and skill development.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as feeding, dressing, grooming, and toileting to support independence.
• Collect and record data on the child's progress, behaviors, and responses during therapy sessions to inform care plans.
• Support the child's educational and developmental activities by applying principles of special education and teaching strategies.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation, including care plans, behavioral health records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to adapt intervention strategies based on data collection and observed needs.
• Provide patient care with patience and empathy while ensuring a safe environment for the child at all times.
Requirements
• Proven experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
• Knowledge of behavioral health principles, behavioral management techniques, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while demonstrating patience and understanding.
• Strong data collection skills to track progress accurately and contribute to care planning.
• Excellent teaching abilities combined with a compassionate approach tailored to individual needs.
• Prior experience in special education or behavioral therapy settings is highly preferred.
