Job Description

no one-size-fits-all approach to autism treatment. ASN offers individualized treatment programs based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Our tailored ABA therapy programs aim to increase language and communication skills, improve attention, focus, social skills, memory, and academics, and decrease problem behaviors.

ASN is one of the few providers in the region that accepts Medicaid-eligible families and is committed to serving this underserved population in Missouri and Kansas. Specializing in supporting children aged 18 months to 14 years, we are continuously growing our clinical and administrative teams to expand our services and improve continuously as ABA providers.

Position Overview

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at ASN, you will play a crucial role in providing direct ABA therapy to children with autism. You will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans and track the progress of your clients.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct ABA therapy to children with autism, following individualized treatment plans.
• Implement behavior intervention plans and track client progress.
• Collect data on client behavior and communicate progress to supervisors.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and modify treatment plans.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is a plus.
• Current RBT certification or willingness to obtain RBT certification.
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift, carry, and/or assist children and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to assume, maintain, and transition between various physical postures for extended periods, including but not limited to sitting on the floor, kneeling, squatting, bending, and standing, as required to support client engagement and safety.
• Must be able to safely and quickly move to and from the floor, including getting up and down from ground level repeatedly throughout the workday, in order to effectively interact with and respond to the needs of clients.
• Must have the manual dexterity required to perform computer-based and clinical tasks, including documentation, data collection, and the use of therapeutic materials and equipment.
• Must be able to respond promptly and effectively to behavioral or safety-related situations, including situations requiring quick physical movement to ensure the safety of clients and others.
