Duties
• Lead and oversee all aspects of clinical research projects related to family medicine, ensuring adherence to FDA regulations, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and HIPAA guidelines.
• Design, implement, and manage clinical trials involving patient monitoring, tissue culture, molecular biology assays, and other laboratory techniques such as Western blot, ELISA, PCR, flow cytometry, chromatography, and protein purification.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including research staff, clinicians, laboratory technicians, and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and validate documentation including study protocols, case report forms, data analysis plans using R, SAS, Python, or other statistical tools.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor clinical trial participants for safety and efficacy outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and ICH GCP standards throughout all phases of research.
• Oversee laboratory procedures involving cell culture, transfection techniques, tissue culture, microscopy, animal physiology studies, and assay development within a research laboratory environment.
• Maintain meticulous records of experimental procedures, results, and regulatory documentation; review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Foster collaborative relationships with academic institutions and industry partners to advance research initiatives in family medicine.

Experience
• Extensive experience leading clinical trials within a family medicine or primary care setting with a solid understanding of FDA regulations and GCP standards.
• Proven expertise in molecular biology techniques such as tissue culture, protein purification, Western blotting, PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, chromatography, and cell transfection methods.
• Strong background in clinical research methodologies including patient monitoring and safety assessments.
• Demonstrated proficiency with statistical software such as SAS or R; experience with Python is a plus.
• Prior experience reviewing scientific documentation and ensuring regulatory compliance in clinical trials.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations related to patient data privacy and security.
• Hands-on laboratory experience in cell biology techniques including microscopy and mammalian cell culture.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations governing clinical research involving human subjects; certification in ICH GCP is highly desirable.
• Background in animal physiology studies or related biomedical research is an advantage.
