Job Description
ified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support individuals receiving services within our programs across several New Jersey locations. This role focuses on developing and implementing behavior support strategies that promote positive outcomes and enhance the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities.
The Behaviorist will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, train staff on behavior support strategies, and ensure behavioral services align with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement new behavioral support services to address the evolving needs of individuals receiving services.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) for individuals within agency programs.
• Train staff on proper implementation of behavioral interventions and support strategies.
• Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to create individualized behavioral intervention plans consistent with APluscare policies.
• Provide direct support and guidance during behavioral crises when necessary.
• Maintain knowledge of Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations, policies, and procedures and ensure programs follow these standards.
• Participate in agency and regulatory reviews, including investigations conducted by APluscare or DHS.
• Work closely with direct support professionals and supervisors to ensure daily program schedules and activities meet the needs of individuals served.
• Act as a liaison between families, staff members, and DHS representatives to support continuity of care.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation in coordination with other APluscare team members.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by agency leadership.
Qualifications

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
• Master's degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Social Work, Special Education, or a related field approved by the Executive Director.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic environment.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Experience supporting diverse communities is strongly valued.
Additional Requirements:
• May be required to complete mandatory DHS training (provided at no cost).
• Must cooperate with licensing authorities and Department of Human Services staff during inspections or investigations.
• Must successfully complete all required training and demonstrate competency in mandated training areas.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
